Therapeutic Peptide Development
We apply our SPPS expertise to the discovery and optimisation of peptide-based drug candidates. Our medicinal chemistry team designs peptide analogues with improved metabolic stability, receptor selectivity, and oral bioavailability — key challenges for peptide therapeutics.
Current focus areas include GLP-1 receptor agonists, antimicrobial peptides (AMPs), and cell-penetrating peptide (CPP) conjugates for targeted intracellular drug delivery.
Peptide Modification Chemistry
Standard amino acid sequences frequently require structural modifications to achieve optimal biological performance. Our team has developed proprietary protocols for a wide range of chemical modifications, including stable isotope labelling, PEGylation, cyclisation, fluorescent labelling, and click chemistry handles.
These capabilities enable us to support clients from the earliest SAR studies through to radioligand development and theranostic applications.
Peptide Delivery Systems
Improving the bioavailability and targeted delivery of peptide drugs remains one of the most active areas of pharmaceutical research. We collaborate with academic partners and biotechs to develop lipid nanoparticle (LNP) and polymeric nanoparticle formulations for peptide cargo, as well as transdermal and buccal delivery technologies.
Our cosmetic peptide programme directly benefits from this research, enabling the development of skin-penetrating peptide ingredients with documented efficacy.
Analytical Method Development
Rigorous characterisation is fundamental to every peptide we produce. Our analytical sciences team continuously develops and validates new HPLC methods, MS fragmentation libraries, and bioactivity assays. We maintain an internal database of over 2,000 characterised peptide sequences, enabling rapid turnaround for repeat orders and related analogues.
We also offer analytical method development as a standalone service for clients requiring regulatory-grade characterisation packages.
